Mother’s Day Spring Wreath Workshop & Afternoon Tea

For those looking to mark Mother’s Day in a different way this year, we will be hosting a Spring Wreath Making Workshop on Sunday 15th March.

Beginning at 1pm and concluding at 3.30pm, this afternoon activity invites you to slow down and spend time together creating something beautiful.

Guided by a professional florist, you’ll design and craft your own seasonal wreath using a selection of fresh and dried spring materials — all provided. No experience is necessary; simply an appreciation for detail and a desire to enjoy the occasion.

Once complete, the afternoon continues with a traditional Afternoon Tea served in our dining room, accompanied by two glasses of Prosecco.

The Right Setting for the Occasion

Mother’s Day often brings together families travelling from across Gloucestershire and beyond — from Gloucester, Swindon, Burford and further afield. The King's Head's heritage building, generous dining spaces and established reputation make it a natural meeting point. It is a place accustomed to full dining rooms and long afternoons, where service moves at the right pace and every table feels looked after. On a day like Mother’s Day, that sense of familiarity matters.
